Healthy Food Requirements

Many cat owners hardly realize the harm they could be exposing their cats to when they feed them with tin food. According to surveys, it is observed that tin food contains very high levels of mercury. It is practically very difficult to determine what exactly a cat is allergic to when we simply feed it with lumps of the content we get readily available in the market. This could be doing more harm to the cat. You may ask how then, can one come up with healthy food for cat. Read on as below is a quick list of the things that cats are not allergic to health wise.

Milk – Ensure that it is not too hot. It is preferable to dilute the milk a little if you are to feed kittens. This greatly helps in their digestion.

Cheese – Moderate the amount that you give them in order to avoid stomach ache.

Bread – Cats are unique so have personal favorites. For instance a cat may not eat the hard edge while others may want that you roll the bread into a lump or they won’t touch it. (I never said cats were easy).

Meat and Fish – Cats are not allergic to all kinds of fish but for some canned fish especially tuna. So also, most meats are ‘cat-friendly’, but avoid feeding a cat with a crab. This is too dangerous to the cat for it can cut through the cat’s stomach lining.
